Partners - United Way of Oxford has awarded our Centre with a $15,000 grant for our Community Renewal Proposal.
- Staples (Woodstock) provided a 16 port switch for our Technology Centre Internet access.
- Don Michalak provided wiring and network hook-up.
- The Library Committee of Hickson is involved in a book exchange of new duplicate titles with us
- Dave Bonhoff cleaned and tweaked our photocopier (donated to us from United Way Oxford)
- The County of Oxford has offered an agreement with the Drumbo Opportunity Centre to allow use of the former library building
- The Drumbo Lions Club has supported the initiative by funding the application for incorporation to the amount of $300.00.
- Drumbo Tent kindly donated the tent needed for our Book Fair and Sales Tables for Garage Sale Day on June 10th.
- Peter Frampton of The Learning Ennrichment Foundation of Toronto and Mike Cassidy of the Fusion Youth Centre of Ingersoll have been so helpful in guiding our initiative as we take out first steps to success with our project.
- Computers for Schools Ontario has provided the centre with 10 computer workstations for our CAP site.
- ReBoot London has notified the centre that they will support our programs with 20 computer workstations and some printers.
- Turkstra Lumber has provided building materials for computer desks and washroom upgrade
- Home Building Centre provided hardware and lumber for our workstation construction
- Leigh Harrington created the workstations based on a plan found by Val Johnston.
- Pearson Publishing has donated a skid of library books for our Seniors and Pre-school programs - wow wait till you see these wonderful, wonderful books!
- Industry Canada's Community Access Program (CAP) gives thousands of Canadians affordable access to the Internet in places like schools, community centres and libraries. We had a CAP site here with the Library before the loss of service and the access to the Internet is sorely missed. We will have our CAP site rollout in late July. CAP provides access to those people who might not have computers or Internet access in their homes or workplaces.
- Following our presentation in November, the Township of Blandford-Blenheim has responded to our presentation with a letter advising that they will contact us. We continue to wait for further contact from the Council.
