Generous People
People in our community are truly generous. Take for example Jen Lopes, she works for Frank Cowan in the Princeton office. She was aware of a program thru the Frank Cowan Foundation, called the Community Volunteer Program, that encourages employees to volunteer their time, in return the Foundation will give $750.00 to a charity they care about. She volunteers to teach a weekly aerobics class at the YMCA in Woodstock, when she reached 50 hours she qualified for the funds. She then presented the cheque to the Drumbo Opportunity Centre. Thank you so much Jen for your tremendous community spirit!
P.A. Day - December 4th
Parents, don't forget another P.A. day is quickly approaching on December 4th and the Drumbo Opportunity Centre along with Safety Services Plus (Carol Cowan) are offering the Red Cross Babysitting Course. Children must be 11 years old. The course runs from 9am-5pm and they will need to bring a peanut free lunch and refreshments. Please call the centre for more information (519-463-5321)
